It’s impossible to recount all the magic of 2016 but here we’d like to highlight and share just some of the events that made this year so special and memorable. As we mentioned in our article last week, before diving into the New Year, it’s important to reflect on the year gone and appreciate the journey, the successes, and the lessons along the way.
In 2016 we traveled far and wide – Stockholm, London, Venice, Toronto, Vienna, New York, Helsinki, Barcelona – we attended some truly incredible conferences and events – many of which our Founder and CEO Therése Gedda spoke at – including Kinnernet, 4YFN, Arctic15, HR Leaders Summit (Canada), EdTech Sweden, Slush, Symposium Stockholm, Viva Technology Paris, and more. 30minMBA was one of six startups awarded by Startup Sesame premium access to Europe’s biggest and best conferences.
Off stage, Therése was interviewed by leading Swedish business publication Veckans Affärer, as well as leading daily Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet (SvD). Therése was also interviewed and featured extensively in Shortcut magazine, while 30minMBA featured in Symposium magazine, CoFounder magazine, and more. Therése was also interviewed for podcasts including The Entrepreneur Way.
30minMBA added three new rockstars to the team, we re-launched our bi-weekly newsletter Business Edge, Therése released her new keynote speaker reel, plus we published many new posts on the 30minMBA blog sharing tips and advice on entrepreneurship, workplace engagement, and culture, and we released several videos on our YouTube channel.
Behind the scenes, we also continued to develop our award-winning product together with experts, storytellers, product designers and more. Exciting things are coming.
We also had the pleasure of meeting so many inspiring leaders during our travels throughout this year – from London to Toronto, New York to Munich, Melbourne to Stockholm – and even though these individuals are in different industries and located in different corners across the globe, what unites them, aside from the fact that they all have a high employee engagement, is that they invest in and care deeply about learning. Some of these individuals even describe the culture at their workplace as a learning culture. It’s been truly extraordinary meeting so many progressive companies spanning a large number of industries over this year.
To cap off an extraordinary year, Therése was named in The Nordic 100 list compiled by The Nordic Web designed to recognize the mist influential and impactful individuals in the tech and startup worlds in the Nordics.
But most importantly, we shared the journey with so many wonderful individuals including you. We are grateful for every conversation, and connection we had made throughout the year, all the time we spent with old friends, new friends, fellow founders, fellow entrepreneurs, fellow CEOs, journalists, human resources and learning and development professionals, across the globe.
We hope you enjoy the photo journey above which documents just some of the highlights from 2016.
Thank you so much for joining us on our journey. Together, let’s make 2017 even bigger and brighter!
