Learn On The Go – Thoughts from Founder and CEO Therése Gedda on Learning
Investing time in yourself and your people is a common key success factor found in thriving companies. We’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many inspiring leaders during our travels throughout this year – from London to Toronto, New York to Munich, Melbourne to Stockholm – and even though these individuals are in different industries and located in different corners across the globe, what unites them, aside from the fact that they all have a high employee engagement, is that they invest in and care deeply about learning. Some of these individuals even describe the culture at their workplace as a learning culture.
When we are busy, it’s easy to rush into things instead of exploring how we might be able to work more efficiently. More creatively. More inspired. If we invest our time in learning, use the latest knowledge in our field, and apply it in an efficient way, we set ourselves up for success. To thrive. To create magic.
Developing and keeping a habit to continually learn new things when we are traveling between meetings, out running at lunch or flying to another city, is a great way to maintain a growth mindset. It’s also a great way for companies to empower their people and give them valuable tools and wisdom to apply in their work and, in turn, create more magic on a consistent basis.
